~ Areas of Service (Blessing Teams) ~ Here are examples of ways you can be involved in your spiritual community. More ideas are always welcome! If you are interested in any of these Blessing Teams or speaking with the coordinator, please contact Vicki Vanderhorst through the office or email her at info@unityvictoria.ca Audio Ministry Focus: to ensure quality sound production of Sunday services. Board of Trustees Ministry Focus: provide direction and leadership in the functions of the church. Bright Spirits Ministry Focus: providing vocal leadership for congregational singing. Children and Youth Ministry Ministry Focus: to assist the children to experience God's love and allow it to express through them as their true self. To help in instructing the children and youth of Unity by teaching Sunday School or helping the teacher. Time Commitment: one Sunday a month.	~ A Community of Blessing ~ This is our house. We who come here not only find out about God, but find God. There is a beauty and laughter in this place, especially when men and women become aware of the beauty and joy in themselves. Everyone who comes into our house in expectation goes with thanksgiving, and anyone who comes needing help goes feeling blessed. Fellowship Ministry Focus: To encourage interaction and caring between people by preparing refreshments after service. Time Commitment: one Sunday per month. Its Your Event Ministry Focus: to create opportunities to joyfully connect with others and fundraise at the same time.
Newsletter Ministry Focus: to assist in the production of our monthly newsletter. Time Commitment: a few days per month. Office Ministry Focus: providing assistance in office and administrative functions. Time Commitment: time that fits into your schedule and meets your interest and abilities. Pastoral Care Ministry Focus: through prayer, visitation, and phone calls maintain contact with those unable to join us in person. Prayer Ministry Focus: supporting the prayer requests of others through confidentiality and trust. Public Relations Ministry Focus: to ensure all the events and activities of the church are promoted in the community in a timely fashion. Sunday Welcome Table Ministry Focus: Welcome people and help them find information on all the activities of the church. Time Commitment: one Sunday per month. Sunday Set Up Ministry Focus: to assist with any of the areas that help create the Sunday morning worship service. Time Commitment: one Sunday per month. Spirit Rising - directed by Bev Wright Ministry Focus: A community choir with an inspirational emphasis, Spirit Rising welcomes all people who love to sing. We emphasize fun and fellowship as well as musical excellence. We enjoy sharing our music in various churches and other venues. Time Commitment: two hours per week, and performances. Tithe Ministry Focus: to select community organizations that will be recipients of Unity Church's monthly tithe. Time Commitment: one meeting per month. Transformative Prayer Groups Ministry Focus: Help connect through the power of small prayer groups. Usher and Greeter Team Ministry Focus: to create a safe atmosphere where the needs of the members and visitors are met. Time Commitment: one Sunday per month.
