We are evolving God's
intelligent design. This is the
simplistic but true! - resolution
to the argument between the
advocates of evolution on the one
hand and of creationism (and now
of intelligent design) on the
other. Why these people don't put
it together is ridiculous to me,
but it has been ever thus in
human history!
Your story and my story is the
same as the Bible story which
depicts the evolution: of
intelligent design cryptically
presented in the Genesis creation
account. Specifically this is the
evolution or incremental
development of the consciousness
of our perfect spiritual
potential into our human
experience.
So I repeat my major writing
point:
CONSCIOUSNESS IS
WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!
No matter how true something
has always been, such as
electricity or Eintein's theory
or the fact that the earth is
round (almost!), until someone
becomes conscious of it, the
human family isn't using it.
Emphasis on SOMEONE! This is what
I am now writing about
constantly. When SOMEONE
becomes conscious of a new
developement in
CONSCIOUSNESS, others begin
to catch on. Charles and Myrtle
Fillmore started something, and
then others caught on. But the
Fillmores caught it from others
who had their own
predecessors!
In this essay, I want to point
out to you that the Rupert
Sheldrake idea about
breakthroughs entering into the
stream of human consciousness
doesn't relate only to such a
gigantic breakthrough as the
miraculous contribution of Jesus
Christ. No, it is clear to me as
I write this, that breakthrough
upon breakthrough incrementally
produce evolutionary changes or
growth.
My excitement in writing to
you about what is going on in me
at this time is due to a
maturation of my understanding
and experience of what I have
called the Jesus Christ
consciousness for many years.
Jesus Christ is the maturation
of the Truth of "Christ in you,
the hope of glory."
Because this consciousness has
been incrementally evolving in
the collective consciousness of
humanity throughout all time, our
species is ready to accept it now
and to let it express through
us!
The tremendous fact I want to
introduce into your thinking is
that the Jesus Christ
consciousness ACTUALLY is within
the stream of consciousness of
all humanity and is ready to
express through each and all of
us right now! This morning
(December 3) I had the sweetest,
most powerful realization of this
great fact that I have yet had. I
felt that everyone everywhere was
experiencing the Jesus Christ
consciousness!
It is not necessary for us to
think about how we are going to
think and live and act now. Just
let it happen. It will, and we
will be blessed, and everyone we
come in contact with will be
blessed, and we will have become
part of what Paul refers to in I
Cor. 15:45:
"And so it is
written, The first man Adam
was made a living soul; the
last Adam was made a
quickening spirit."
The last Adam is of course
Jesus Christ. This signifies the
completion of a certain aspect of
human development. We are at the
point of beginning to live the
Jesus Christ consciousness, which
will lead us into new mansions
(dimensions) in the Father's
house.
Because in one sense all this
is a bit new and revolutionary to
us, it is obvious that the
results will be a process of
continued evolution and
growth.
But let us remember, the Jesus
Christ secret is to let God do
the work through us. This is what
God did through Jesus when He was
on earth, and is continuing to do
as we let the Jesus Christ
consciousness express through
us.
