Whenever we are seeking to
bless others through prayer, the
key is to remember that the same
God is in them too, so let us
trust that God!
When we seek to be a love
blessing for others, the God of
love we trust is the same God for
them; trust that Love!
When our prayer is for God's
healing life to be active in
another, that same God of life we
trust is the God of life in them
too; trust that Life!
When we would behold a loved
one feeling God's guidance or
inspiration or protection, the
same God who so blesses us is
blessing our loved one too -
right now - whenever - wherever -
without fail!
The one God embraces the
various ideas of God held by the
people of the world - the same
God; trust that God!
What you have just read is the
natural, the logical, thing for a
Unity thinker to say. And what a
glorious concept it is (for all
of its simplicity and
childlikeness)! Think with me now
about the different world we
would be living in if the people
of the various religions would
yield the idea that their "one
God" really has to be the one God
celebrated by other religions.
What "one God" really means is
"that Something" that created the
universe and everything in it,
including each so-called racial
group and the adherents of each
and every religion in the
world.
This would leave us with a
heap of negotiating and
reconciling to take care of to
come up with workable definitions
of a universal God concept, but
what a start it would be if we
could each and all see that there
JUST HAS to be one God who/which
is the same God for all of
us!
Trusting that God, we
could even begin to trust,
even to love each other!
